Vis Viva is lead by Mr. Luca Bertuzzi and its main markets are the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics markets. I Holland have recently appointed a new representative to help them lunch their onslaught into the Indian tablet compression tooling market.

Bowman & Archer based in Mumbai and lead by Mr S.M Rabee - a qualified engineer with a management degree and 15 years experience in the design and manufacture of pharmaceutical machinery – is involved in tablet processing machinery and associated equipment and serves some of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies

With staff working all over India and direct back up from I Holland in the UK, Bowman & Archer will be able to provide continuous and focused technical support for punch and die tooling as well as associated maintenance equipment. I Holland and Bowman & Archer will formally launch their relationship at Interphex India in September 2007. Prior to this they will be undertaking a tour of the market during April 2007.

In response to the growing demand for a product of this kind I Holland have launched iNSPECT, a bespoke visual inspection system for the close, physical examination and photography of punch tips and tablets. This has been especially customised for use in the pharmaceutical environment.

iNSPECT allows for a clear and precise high quality image to be easily generated on a PC. This can be used to quickly validate tablets, punch tips, cups, die bores, embossing or land. The image can be emailed internally within the user’s organisation to aid product transfer for example, or emailed directly to I Holland for further consultation if necessary. This process allows for quick and easy identification of any tooling defects or wear, helping to avoid costly delays in production and product wastage.

For the complete validation package iNSPECT can be used in conjunction with the Holland Approve® system.

I Holland have launched the first edition of PunchLine, their new newsletter that seeks to provide an overview of the latest developments taking place within the company. PunchLine will also introduce the people within I Holland describing their various roles and experiences. We have also included a section on working with our customers and would be pleased to hear from you if you would like to be included in future editions of PunchLine.

In September 2006, to mark its 60th year in business, I Holland hosted an agent’s seminar at its headquarters. Over 30 representatives from around the globe attended the three day event that included technical seminars, practical training sessions and an extensive tour of the manufacturing facilities on site. Entertainment was arranged each evening with the highlight being an evening river cruise attended by I Holland staff and agents. The night involved wining, dining and dancing to a live jazz band. Positive feedback was received from everyone who attended the seminar and the request for further future events was expressed.
